What we do
The self funded Connemara Programme was founded in 2011 to help Connemara to recover from the recession and prepare for the arrival of Rural broadband.
To do this it has:
- Documented and codified over 45,000 items on Connemara
- Created a stock of 85,000 up to date photographs
- Developed a reusable technical infrastructure to manage and display the data
- Launched the Myconnemara.com online directory of Connemara
- Participates in EU and National planning for rural broadband
- Supported local development initiatives with expertise, data and analysis
- Assisted other rural and small town development initiatives
